About Me

I trained as a Clinical Hypnotherapy with the London College of Clinical Hypnosis (LCCH), a very highly regarded, international training institution, being first awarded a Certificate then a Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy following practical and theoretical examinations. I then undertook advanced training and was awarded a Practitioner Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy. The LCCH training courses are validated by the University of Greenwich and the Open University and approved by the British Association of Counselling and the Royal College of Nursing.

I am a full member of the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis (BSCH) and as a member of the LCCH and BSCH I have access to a network of specialists in different areas of hypnotherapy from whom advice and guidance on the more unusual cases can be obtained. The BSCH maintains a register of members and provides a professional ethical framework under which its therapists operate.

Prior to training as a Clinical Hypnotherapy I gained a BSc degree with 2·1 honours in Marine Biology and Zoology and spent two and a half years carrying out research at Lancaster University. I then trained as a secondary school teacher and spent 14 years as a Science teacher in several schools. It is during this time that I saw the serious effects stress can have. I found myself led towards Clinical Hypnotherapy and since setting up my practice it has given me immense pleasure whenever I see someone go through a life-changing moment or is released from a fear or habit that has badly affected their lives in some respect.
